This test must be performed in a supervised mode, with a technician or nurse controlling the computer.

The test should be performed at distances above 3 meters or 9 feet. The letter sizes are automatically adjusted according to the viewing distance and screen size.

Results are converted into the snellen equivalent (relating to 6/6, 1,0 or 20/20 scale).

Specific scoring may be added to vision with spectacles and without (if worn).
